Role Description

Aderant is working to mature DevOps processes and automation, and this individual will be at the forefront of that journey. We are also looking to become compliant against numerous industry standards, so a security focus is key. We are constantly evolving our strategy to minimize complexity and promote scalability, functionality, and user experience. We need talented team members to drive these efforts forward!

We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Cloud Operations Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be an expert in AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform, with strong experience in leveraging modern AI-powered tools to drive automation, efficiency, and innovation.This role is perfect for someone who thrives in cloud-native environments, embraces automation-first principles, and is passionate about exploring how AI can transform cloud operations.

Qualifications

  • Required Skills & Experience
    • Expertise in AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, Lambda, etc.).
    • Strong hands-on Kubernetes administration and troubleshooting experience.
    • Proven experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
    • Proficiency with AI-driven tools (MCP, Claude, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot) for automation, documentation, and optimization.
    • Solid understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud security best practices.
    Bonus Skills (Nice-to-Haves)
    • Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud environments.
    • Monitoring and observability expertise with Grafana, Prometheus, or similar tools.
    • Scripting and automation skills in PowerShell/Bash.
    • Development background in GoLang C# / ASP.NET / ReactJS.
    • Experience with MongoDB, PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server.

Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and maintain scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure in AWS.
  • Manage and optimize containerized workloads using Kubernetes.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform.
  • Integrate and leverage AI tools (e.g., MCP, Claude, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot) to improve operational workflows, troubleshooting, and automation.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Collaborate with development and security teams to ensure infrastructure aligns with business needs and compliance standards.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement proactive improvements.
