Role Description

We’re looking for a standout Account Executive to grow the vi suite of products, our market-leading software platform used by hundreds of law firms around the world. The vi suite includes Recruiting, Performance Evaluations, Resource Allocation, Learning Management, Onboarding, Real-Time Feedback, and Skill Development.

 

This is a high-impact, client-facing sales role responsible for both expanding relationships within our existing client base and driving net-new growth in an established, high-potential market. The ideal candidate is a smart, hardworking, natural salesperson with executive presence and a demonstrated track record of success selling into matrixed organizations. You should be comfortable leading strategic conversations with CHROs, COOs, CIOs, and other senior stakeholders, and presenting with confidence in high-level, formal business settings.

 

You will collaborate with internal product managers, services, support, and subject matter experts to deliver value and close deals. You’ll attend industry events, deliver strategic business reviews, and provide product demonstrations with clarity and credibility.

Qualifications

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of B2B new business sales experience, ideally in SaaS or a recurring revenue model
  • Proven ability to drive net-new sales into large or matrixed organizations
  • Experience presenting to senior executives in formal, high-stakes meetings
  • Track record of exceeding quota (President’s Club or similar achievement preferred)
  • Executive presence, strong business acumen, and excellent communication skills
  • A natural relationship builder who is warm, credible, and curious, yet confident enough to challenge assumptions and guide clients toward better solutions
  • Experience selling into HR, Talent, Legal, or Professional Services organizations is a plus
  • Strong negotiation and opportunity management skills
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and accountable with excellent time management
  • Ability to self-source leads and manage follow-through alongside inbound support
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or another CRM
  • Passion for delivering a great client experience while closing business

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

  • Own and grow a portfolio of high-value client and prospect accounts across the legal industry
  • Drive new business through consistent prospecting, outreach, and follow-up with key stakeholders
  • Lead the full sales cycle: discovery, demo, proposal, stakeholder alignment, and close
  • Deliver compelling presentations to C-level and senior executives (CHROs, COOs, CIOs, Talent and HR leadership)
  • Conduct strategic business reviews and account planning
  • Partner with product, client success, and professional services to align client needs with roadmap and delivery
  • Work closely with marketing and BDR support to generate and convert opportunities
  • Collaborate with other Aderant sales teams to identify and execute cross-sell opportunities
  • Maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline management in Salesforce
  • Attend client meetings and key industry events, with up to 25% travel (including flights and overnight trips)
  • Prioritize and balance multiple responsibilities while supporting the broader needs of the business
