Role Description

The Senior Time and Billing Compliance Business Consultant plays a key role in providing implementation, consulting, and technical expertise to clients during the deployment and integration of software solutions. This role involves working closely with clients to understand their business needs, configuring solutions to meet those needs, and ensuring successful project delivery. The Senior Time and Billing Compliance Business Consultant collaborates with internal teams and stakeholders to drive customer satisfaction, adoption, and project success. 

 

This role will be the resident expert on time and billing compliance.  You will specialize in reviewing and assisting law firms to ensure the accuracy and compliance of legal time and expense entries. You will assist with analyzing time and billing data to identify potential issues and advise on necessary corrections to maintain proper timekeeping and billing practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
  • Proven experience (typically 6+ years) in professional services, consulting, or technical implementation roles, preferably in software or technology.
  • Experience with Aderant, Elite, Rippe, Intapp, OCG and/or Onyx.
  • Knowledge and understanding of outside counsel guidelines.
  • Strong technical aptitude and proficiency in software configuration, system integration, and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional service and achieving client success.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex issues and propose effective solutions.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to client sites for onsite engagements (travel requirements may vary).

Responsibilities

  • Extensive experience working with outside counsel guidelines including the ability to review and summarize them.
  • Lead and train clients on how to analyze, design and build OCG rules and the maintenance of outside counsel guidelines.
  • Direct experience with managing and improving time and billing compliance
  • Collaborate with Product, Customer Experience, and Sales teams as an expert on OCG's and time and billing compliance.
  • Engage with clients to gather and analyze business requirements, objectives, and challenges.
  • Conduct discovery sessions, workshops, and interviews to understand client processes and workflows.
