Role Description

The focus of this role in Aderant Cloud Operations will center around Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform and our operational teams. You will lead a diverse team, overseeing work assignments, team development, project management, program delivery, and environment troubleshooting. You will operate with authority to ensure delivery and you will mentor and supervise engineers in technical competencies. You will contribute to ensuring satisfactory delivery of environments, services and solutions as is necessary for customer success.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project/program management roles within a technical delivery organization. 
  • 2+ years of experience managing day-to-day operations in an infrastructure operations role. 
  • Experience working with stakeholders to develop and implement cloud infrastructure solutions. 
  • Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills. 
  • Superior communication (both written and verbal) and strong interpersonal skills are required. 
  • Experience communicating and interacting with executive teams as required. 
  • Values attention to detail and understands the importance of precision in quality of work. 
  • Organized, adaptable, and able to tackle the challenges of engaging on multiple customer deliveries simultaneously in a fast-paced, global environment. 
  • Ability to come into the office and/or travel to other locations for key meetings and workshops with stakeholders. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of applications. 
  • Technical understanding of Microsoft server product set including Windows Server, Active Directory, Remote Desktop Services, SQL and Microsoft365/Azure integrations. 
  • Ability to successfully work across cultures and locations, driving team cohesion and effectiveness. 
  • Ability to work autonomously, escalating when required to remove roadblocks or hurdles. 
  • Familiarity with the legal field, law practice management and/or the Aderant Expert platform a plus

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and tactical leadership for the deployment and delivery of customer environments. 
  • Collaborate with Professional Services, managers, partners, and customers to ensure timely delivery of Aderant cloud solutions. 
  • Serve as the first point of escalation for customer project roadblocks and/or risks. 
  • Maintain project tracking and reporting processes to review delivery velocity regularly. 
  • Estimate time and resource requirements and monitor milestone completion throughout the project lifecycle for cloud resources. 
  • Align with the Director of Cloud Services to understand strategic client needs and incorporate solution delivery into existing operational approaches. 
  • Prioritize customer projects based on implementation schedules, business needs and project resource capacity. 
  • Lead and prioritize multiple concurrent projects and initiatives. 
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key delivery stakeholders both internally and within partnered organizations to ensure delivery transparency. 
  • Leverage data to create KPIs and dashboards to increase business visibility into overall team performance. 
  • Identify and implement Infrastructure operational enhancements such as updated templates, automation, process documents, etc. 
  • Resolve and escalate issues related to cloud infrastructure and automation. 
  • Drive Infrastructure optimization to improve cost and performance. 
  • Recruit, train, develop, coach, and appraise staff effectively. 
  • Plan and implement continuous improvement within solution delivery activities. 
  • Mentor a diverse team of direct reports in their career progression.
